You are a brand new member of an alchemist cult trying to take down a tyrannical monarch and his council. You have also coincidentally been hired as a cook in the king's kitchen. You must experiment to find poisons, find a way to slip them to your targets and avoid getting caught (also, try not to kill yourself while experimenting, in my experience, it's not very productive).

This game was a solo project by GeraldTM for the 15th PirateSoftware Gamejam and also GeraldTM's first game

There are 6 councillors and the King, all of whom must be poisoned without drawing too much suspicion

Known issues:

- Game is unfinishable... max is 5 poisonings, bc suspicion doesn't reset. (fixed in latest git commit)

-  If you place an item ontop of another item, it glitches out of existence

- Time is not paused at during the tutorial dialogue leading to a sequence break

- Bun has apple's description. The bun is just a bun

Hints/Clarity:

There are 4 poisons with set recipes. They are all hinted at to some extent in the game.

You have to sleep every night after your meal is collected. There was supposed to be a piece of dialogue explaining this but it was missed. You sleep by interacting with the bed.

There is a recipe book that has some details on each ingredient. you can find it by interacting with the bedside-table at the foot of the bed

Intriguing game, and I have to come back to it. My first run, I ran out of time from reading what the courier was telling me and was executed. I want to explore the options even more.  It'd be nice if there was a common room for servants where you could learn more about the people for whom you're cooking, between meals.

Thanks for the feedback! The initial dialogue issue is definitely the first thing I’m going to fix and the common room would help out with some other potential features I have ideas for. Thanks for the feedback and thanks for playing! (Also I enjoyed the gamejam streams a lot)

POGGERS Best Game of all time, deserves an Emmy Award fr.
